Alisa Hacker is a well-established counselor, advisor, and litigator with extensive experience that stretches over two decades of private practice in the eastern counties of the Commonwealth.  Alisa practices in fiduciary and probate controversies.  She also specializes in all aspects of domestic relations/family law.

In the area of probate and fiduciary controversies, Alisa represents trustees, personal representatives, other fiduciaries, and beneficiaries in matters involving will contests, disputes over estate administration, complaints for judicial instructions, declaratory judgments and equitable remedies. In contested conservatorship and guardianship actions, she represents clients petitioning to have a court appoint a guardian or conservator to oversee the medical well-being or finances of a vulnerable person who cannot manage his or her own care.

Alisa’s domestic relations practice encompasses all aspects of family law, including complex divorce cases, disputes over custody, visitation and parenting time, issues of child support, alimony, and division of the marital estate, paternity (for un-married parents) matters, requests for modification of prior judgments, and contempt actions. In addition, she counsels clients in the negotiation and drafting of pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.

Alisa is also a certified mediator and conciliator and serves as a court appointed Guardian ad litem.  She is honored each year as a Super Lawyer by Boston Magazine, recognized as a “Best Lawyer” for family law and trust/estate litigation, and ranked in Chambers Review for family law. 

Alisa received her B.A., cum laude, from Saint Olaf College and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
